Flight Change Assistance
Plans change. Flightlytic helps U.S. customers request modifications to existing airline tickets over the phone. Our agents review your fare rules, explain applicable airline change fees, and coordinate the change request with the airline on your behalf.
Important: All change fees, fare differences, and eligibility rules are set by the operating airline, not by Flightlytic. We disclose all airline-imposed costs and any Flightlytic service fee before any charge is authorized.
What Changes Our Agents Can Help You Request
- Date changes (earlier or later travel dates, subject to fare rules)
- Routing or destination changes, where the airline allows
- Name corrections (spelling errors) according to each airline's correction policy
- Adding stopovers or open-jaw segments, where fare permits
- Class of service upgrades (see our Seat Upgrades page)
How Change Costs Work
Most airline tickets carry specific change rules. The total cost of a change typically includes:
- Airline change penalty — set by the airline and tied to your fare class.
- Fare difference — the difference between your original fare and the new fare.
- Tax adjustment — any change in government-imposed taxes for the new itinerary.
- Service fee — Flightlytic's fee for phone-based change assistance, when applicable.
Turnaround Time
Most change requests are processed while you're on the phone. In cases where the airline requires manual intervention (for example, schedule change waivers), the airline's response time applies and is outside our control.
Before You Call
To save time, please have your ticket number, airline record locator (PNR), and preferred new dates or cities ready when you call.
